So Dad called today and with the fire danger projection over the next week or so he can’t break away. I’m playing the part of Daisy Werthan to his Hoke Colburn (if you get this movie reference you’re too old) plus he’s the guy with the truck. In any event, I don’t have to ride to GJ at the end of the week.
This is a good thing in many ways even though it means delaying clearing out the rest of our house in Ellensburg. For instance, it means I’ll get to watch Aral on the 4th of July when the fireworks get launched.
So I don’t actually need a ride if you’re headed that way on the 29th.
